The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) of up to $15,000* is paid by the State Government to eligible first home owners. The payment is made only after an application has been submitted to and approved by RevenueSA or a financial institution authorised by RevenueSA to process applications. FHOG applies to the purchase or construction of a new residential property, including a house, flat, unit, townhouse or apartment that meets local planning standards anywhere in South Australia. (FHOG ceased for established homes from 1 July 2014.)
Greentree Walk is supported by the Commonwealth Stimulus Grant, an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Service and Indigenous Affairs. The funds have paid for considerable infrastructure to be installed and these savings have been passed on to you. This could represent a saving of up to $10,000* per block. The Seniors Housing Grant is a State Government initiative which provides a once-off grant of up to $8,500* to assist senior home purchasers. The SHG is available to natural persons aged 60 years or more, who are purchasing or building a new home valued at up to $400,000 and will phase out for eligible homes valued at up to $450,000 for first home owners. The Senior Housing Grant is not available in addition to the First Home Owners Grant.
